Parking for patients and visitors

There is no patient or public parking at Royal Brompton Hospital other than a very limited pickup and drop off area at Sydney Street. There is metered, on-street parking, but in central London street parking is very limited and not guaranteed. This is worth noting if you have an appointment.

There is a small public car park a few minutes' walk away on Sydney Street, near King's Road and managed by CP Plus Parking:

Sydney Street Car Park
125 Sydney St
Chelsea, London

For visitors seeing inpatients, it's easier to park your car at the weekend. Nearby roads are pay-and-display on Saturdays and free on Sundays.

Reserved parking for outpatients

We have five car parking spaces near the hospital, in Dudmaston Mews, available to reserve free of charge. Reservations can be made in the two weeks before your outpatient appointment, and are subject to availability. Please do not use these spaces unless you have a reservation. To book, call +44 (0)20 7351 8012 between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Subject to availability, these five car parking spaces in Dudmaston Mews can be used by visitors after 4pm, Monday to Friday.

Parking for disabled badge holders

A small number of disabled parking spaces, owned by the council, are available near the hospital in:

  • Dovehouse Street
  • Dudmaston Mews
